What makes us human isn’t just our anatomy or what we do, it’s more about how we imagine, question, connect, create, and our power of transformation.

This zine is about eight of our specifically human “superpowers” that shape our lives: Metacognition, Imaginative Projection, Moral Imagination, Symbolic Language, Cultural Transmission, Meaning-Making, Creative Synthesis, and Self-Determined Transformation. 

It is an illustrated guide to the capacities that let us build worlds, empathize across distance, reshape ideas, rewrite ourselves, and pass meaning through generations. Drawn from philosophy, art history, literature, education, and everyday life, each capacity is explored through the lens of the arts and humanities, the places where these abilities sharpen, stretch, and come alive.
